Prof. KP Singh is a distinguished educationist, academician, teacher activist, researcher, academic administrator, practicing librarian, and accomplished orator. Presently, Professor Singh holds multiple roles, including Professor & Head, Library and Information Science Department, Director of Gandhi Bhawan, Provost, PG Men's Hostel, Chairman, Managing Committee, North-Eastern Hostel for Women, University of Delhi, and President of the Delhi Library Association. Professor Singh is a prolific author, having penned 18 books, 20 edited books, 195 research papers, and successfully supervised 18 doctoral theses and 35 M. Phil dissertations. As a pioneer in institution building and shaping young minds, Professor Singh has established state-of-the-art computer labs, classrooms, HOD's office, and seminar halls, utilizing his personal financial resources.
